Final Word: That's an oldie....but goodie. Lost Cell Phone Found In Fish's Belly Andrew Cheatle thought his cell phone was lost at sea after it slipped out of his pocket during a day at the beach. But a week later, while shopping for a new phone his girlfriend's phone rang. "Your old phone number is calling my phone," she said, according to The Sun Newspaper.

When they answered the bizarre call, they heard this unbelievable story: Apparently fisherman Glen Kerley caught a 25-pound cod and, upon filleting it, discovered Cheatle's watery phone. 

The phone didn't work, so Kerley removed the SIM card and put it into his phone to trace the owner. "I know what it's like to lose your phone," said Kerley, who's found plastic cups, teaspoons and batteries inside the bellies of greedy cod. "I thought I may as well make a few calls to see if I could get it back to the owner. The phone was a bit smelly, but I was glad to return it." 

"I didn't believe him when he called," Cheatle told The Sun Newspaper. "But it was my phone, and incredibly it still worked after I dried it out.
