Mature bull elk photographed in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Canon 5D Mark II – Canon 500mm F4 IS lens – Gitzo Tripod and Sachtler video head. No the lens wasn’t dirty…it’s actually a light snow falling on this late September day.

I’ve been playing with the 5D mark II for several months now and I continue to be impressed with the video quality. This footage was shot in about a 3 hour time span using a canon 500mm f4 lens and sachtler video head and gitzo tripod. I edited the footage in the field on a Mac Book Pro using Final Cut Pro.
