I’ve been playing with the 5D mark II for several months now and I continue to be impressed with the video quality. This footage was shot in about a 3 hour time span using a canon 500mm f4 lens and sachtler video head and gitzo tripod. I edited the footage in the field on a Mac Book Pro using Final Cut Pro.

  Just got the Canon 5D Mark II and plan on shooting quite a bit of video for various projects…but first we need to set up the proper tripod. I show you how I modified a video fluid head to work with the Canon 5D Mark II and various lenses.
