Uhl Studios and Grizzly Creek Framing are pleased to present DEVELOPED, a photography exhibit of original works from photographers Kim Cook and Michael Mauro.
The gallery will celebrate the opening of this extraordinary exhibit by hosting a fundraising event for Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime (JBWL) foundation on Friday, November 13th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Ten percent of all sales during the event will benefit JBWL and its programs that support deserving seniors throughout the Rocky Mountain States.
DEVELOPED will incorporate the work of internationally‐known nature photographer, Michael Mauro and the original lifestyle portraits of photographer Kim Cook.
Mauro, a rare breed of nature photographer, witnesses and captures images of the world’s greatest creatures as only a few can do. His patience, masterful eye, and expertise with photography equipment distinguish him as a true pro. Mauro’s understanding and passion for nature has enabled him to amass an extensive collection of photos. They include: bears, eagles, wolves, mountain goats, elk and dall sheep. In continuing his pursuit of excellence, Michael searches out new and beautiful images to share with others using digital capture. He melds advanced technology with nature to more accurately portray the wildness of our natural world in places most of us cannot reach. For more information about Michael’s work, please visit www.mauromedia.com.
Photographer Kim Cook sees beauty in the ordinary and on a single frame shares the extraordinary stories of daily living with her viewers. Her interest in anthropology and social issues has been the driving force behind her personal work. Kim’s philanthropic spirit has led her to over twenty countries and has enabled her to capture through her lens, the struggles of coffee farmers and their resilient determination to overcome poverty. Her images have been published in national advertisements for Allegro and Green Mountain Coffee as well as magazines such as Time and Imbibe. She supports her personal work with commercial and editorial assignments that embody her raw journalistic style. In Recent months, she has turned her attention to several subjects closer to home. Find more information about Kim’s work at www.kimcook.com.
The exhibit opening will incorporate a silent auction, wine, and vodka tasting. It will also create excitement for the live performance of “Alive and Well” by the Young@Heart Chorus on Sunday, November 15th presented by Senior Care Colorado, that will also support JBWL.
